Connecticut FIRST

Connecticut is home to nearly 150 teams which participate in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics programs. FIRST's goal is to inspire youth to become interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. At the same time participants are learning how to become leaders, work with others, plan projects and meet deadlines, work within a budget, perform research, brainstorm, communicate, program computers, write coherently, make presentations, work with adults, and have fun! Opportunities are available for youth from ages 6 - high school. This website serves as a resource to learn more about our FIRST teams, events, and programs.

All FIRST robotics program competitions are open to the public and admission is free.
